Szymon is going to be 14 on September 21st and just like many teenageers he has many plans for his future. Szymek is an incredibly sensitive and charming boy, curious of the world and full of talents. His passion is painting and cooking. Due to his sensitivity, he's known for his great love for animals.
Szymon was an active volunteer, a member of the school and church choir, as well as a beginning actor of the "Smile" Theater at the Municipal Cultural Center in Radom. A few days before the beginning of the school year, during a routine medical examination he heard a painful diagnosis - acute lymphoblastic leukemia! Szymon has been struggling with leukemia for 8 months now, which unfortunately stopped his previous passions, and his curiosity of the world is limited to a hospital bed. His days are full of necessary, often severe treatments needed to eradicate the disease.
Fortunately, he has a great care in one of the best hospitals - Children's Clinical Department in Warsaw. At the moment we do not know how long it will take to treat him and depending on the state of his body, the doctors say it may even takie around 2 years.
